Remembrance day is part of modern British life, culture and heritage. A day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
This year, Remembrance Day falls on a Sunday and marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, a poignant moment as we remember those who have died in the line of duty.
There will be wreath laying ceremonies across the district at 11am at Potters Bar, Northaw, South Mimms and North Mymms war memorials.
We hope you join us in paying our respects to the fallen on this milestone day.
