Think Big. Dream Wild. Act Together.

The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event, it happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country. In the Summer of 2023, more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Korea for the 25th World Scout Jamboree. We’re so proud that thousands of UK young people aged 14 to 17 and their leaders will be in Sae Man Geum, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea for the Jamboree.

Our Contingent are more than just travel buddies, they are planners, fundraisers, motivators and mentors. We’ve got a lot to achieve in a short time but we’ll leap at the challenge as we… Think big. Dream wild. Act Together.

The Jamboree Programme is designed around several core elements: Scouting for Life, Smart & Scientific, Safe & Secure, Sustainability, and ACT: Adventure, Culture, Tradition.

Potters Bar and District are lucky to have three carefully selected individuals, who will represent the district not only at County level, but also their Country at the 25th World Scout Jamboree.

The cost of The Jamboree is £3,495. This includes training, travel cost, kit, camp fee, insurance and helping other Scout members around the world who can’t afford to go to a Jamboree. We will be hosting various fundraising events to help the three Potters Bar & District Scouts attend the Jamboree. If you would like some information on these events, feel free to ask!
