Our District has invested in the following equipment. It is free to use for any Potters Bar & District Scout Section, although we do ask that the equipment is properly used and cared for. If you are not comfortable with the technicalities, please study the manuals available below or e-mail resources@pbscouts.org.uk for advice.

To book your slot, please use the Resources Booking System on the 5th Potters Bar website here.

Indoor PA System – 2x Turbosound ip500 loudspeakers (USER MANUAL)

These are modern 600w column loudspeakers with a built-in amplifier and mixer. They can connect to the headphone socket of your device, by Bluetooth or to wireless microphones which can be provided on request. One of these speakers is usually sufficient for most events up to 50 people, otherwise we would suggest using two; they can be linked together easily. They fold down into two carrying cases and are very portable. Click here for an overview.

We also hold:-

  • 2x Behringer ULM302 Digital Wireless Microphones (USER MANUAL)
  • All required cabling to link the two speakers (XLR), connect to your device (XLR to 3.5mm audio jack) and to the wireless microphones (XLR).

Outdoor PA System – Weatherproof PA Horn (x8) system

This is a 100 volt line outdoor PA system. It includes a 4 channel, 240W powered mixer amp and 8 weatherproof high output horn speakers – perfect for outdoor events.

Primarily of use for events such as St George’s Day parade and addressing crowds, it can be wired up to a 24v battery and used virtually anywhere.

The kit includes:-

  • Adastra RM240SB 240W, Amplifier USB+Bluetooth
  • All required cabling and stands
  • Wired microphone
